Service Specials: As part of our mission to provide needed, as well as recommended, wellness and/or screening health care services to as many residents in our service area as possible, we at VHMA offer, on a regular ongoing and/or periodic basis, various services, specially priced to make them more affordable. This commitment of ours is intended to allow anyone without healthcare insurance or anyone whose insurance plan may not include one of these services as a covered service, to access and get the service.
Hot Topics: It is our intention through this section to periodically offer you what we feel to be valuable information concerning healthcare issues that might currently be important or of particular interest to you. In this section you will find informative articles written by one of our providers concerning pertinent topics, such as common problems related to the season, or concerning a new finding about a particular disease, technological advance, new treatment, or drug or natural health care product that is currently being highly talked about by the media.
Your Personal Health Page: We feel that this is potentially one of the most exciting and valuable sections of our website, but unfortunately we are not quite ready to implement it. We are currently working with a couple of healthcare related organizations and technical support personnel to be able to offer you, via a secure pathway through our website, the opportunity to access your own medical record, current medications, allergies, lab results, and aftercare instructions. We believe that for our patients to have the ability to personally access this confidential information for self-review, to share with their spouse or significant other, or even share with another healthcare provider, is a real value-added service that we can offer our patients. We are working very hard and cautiously to make this a reality as soon as possible.
Employee Recognition: We feel that one of the main reasons that VHMA has survived, while so many other practices that have tried to offer similar services have failed is due mainly to our outstanding, dedicated and caring staff. Everyone that works at VHMA feels like they are part of a family, whose mission is to care and treat each and every one of our patients as if they were part of our family as well.
