Services:

Our occupational medical care services grew out of a high demand by employers in our area to have a quality facility and caring medical staff to which to send their employees for needed services. We offer a wide spectrum of routine occupational care services, as well as many special services for specific companies, professions, and industries.

At Verdugo Hills Medical Associates, our very experienced staff has mastered the often difficult challenge presented with caring for the needs of both the patient, and the employer. Our primary goal is to provide the best, yet most efficient care of the employee-patient and get him/her back to work as soon as the medical circumstances will allow. From our years of experience in this area, we are firm believers in minimizing work days lost by the implementation of "light duty" programs. Frequent communication between our staff, the employer, their insurer, and the employee, allows us to guard and care for the interests of all parties concerned and yet provide quality, cost effective, convenient service.

Routine occupational care services we provide include:

• Evaluation and treatment of work-related and on-the-job illnesses and injuries
• Physician's first report of injury, interim and final reports.
• Regular work status reports and telephone calls to employers with each employee visit
• Employment physical examinations
• NIDA approved drug testing, screening and collection
• In-house physical therapy and rehabilitative services which allow for excellent physician, therapist, patient interaction to monitor progress

Special Occupational Care services and programs we provide include:

• Executive and annual physical examinations
• Case management services
• Assistance with compliance regarding the Americans with Disabilities Act
• Hepatitis B vaccination programs
• OSHA required post contaminated body fluid exposure protocols
• Work site ergonomic evaluation
• Work site surveys to assist with remedying any identifiable source for accident prevention and/or meeting any OSHA requirement
• Back school
• First aid and CPR classes
• For the motion picture industry: "casting" exams, location preparation plans and immunizations

Charges:

We accept payment per the California Workers' Compensation allowable fee schedule for our routine Occupational Care services. Our fees for Special Occupational Care services are individualized and very competitive.
