Our Company

Welcome to our practice!

Verdugo Hills Medical Associates, founded by Dr. Richard A. Foullon, has been serving the Glendale and surrounding tri-city area since February, 1984. Originally opened to evaluate and treat only urgent, episodic illness and injury, we have grown into a diversified medical practice providing not only urgent care, but occupational care, physical therapy, and primary care as well. Our practice is well known throughout both the lay and medical communities as providing not only the highest in quality medical care, but treating each and every patient as if "they were family".

Our spacious offices are housed in a one story, free standing, 11,000 sq. ft. facility. Each of our main medical care services occupies its own suite, with each having its own separate entrance, waiting room, and receptionist staff to greet and assist you. We have invested in the latest technology and information systems to maximize our efficiencies and deliver true value added care. We offer modern diagnostic x-ray, laboratory, and minor surgical procedure facilities on site. For your convenience, we also stock our most commonly prescribed medications. Easy access parking is available adjacent to each suite entrance.

Our charges are very competitive. Our urgent care fees are usually less than 35% of what similar services would cost in a hospital emergency department. We accept payment per the California workers' compensation allowable fee schedule for our routine occupational care services. Our fees for special occupational care services are individualized and very competitive. Our primary care fees are in line with similar services in our community. We accept the fee schedules for health plans with which we are contracted.

We care for men, women, and children of all ages. Our practice is open, and we are accepting new patients.

Mission Statement:

We intend to deliver the highest quality medical care, resulting in the best possible patient outcomes. We care about our patients beyond the scope of medicine. They are our friends, our neighbors, and our family. To care less is unacceptable.

We aim to be the urgent care, occupational care, physical therapy, and primary care of choice for patients of all ages in our market area. We want them to think of us first, as the only logical place to call for their medical needs. We might not be able to "treat" every patient who calls, but we will "help" everyone who does.

We are in business to make a profit. To offer our services at reasonable fees, we have to control our costs and assure that more and more patients come in to see us.

Above all, we aim to practice in a positive, uplifting and rewarding work environment for all who give service here.
